Parking at the Mills Hillman Garage for the Blue Angels? Check out ArtWalk's public art installation of George Washington resigning his commission as Commander-in-Chief of the Contiental Army by Greg Harlin. Design by ArtWalk Curator Sally Wern Comport and project management by Lindsay Lowery.

The scene depicted by Harlin occurred at the nearby Maryland State House, and was a pivotal moment in the founding of our democracy as it turned the U.S. military over to the power of the people and signaled the end of the Revolutionary War. The War ended officially in the same State House with the signing of the Treaty of Paris.
