Here’s a sneak peek at one of our latest R&D collaboration efforts for June’s Photo of the Month. This new style of UAV is perfect for mounting the M400iC and imaging radiation from high above the ground. The M400iC can be integrated onto any drone that can support its 1 kg, and does not require GPS to localize radiation.

What's next for H3D's GammAware 3D radiation imager? Take a look at our photo of the month for the latest view of what our 3D image construction offers: colored point clouds, sharper images, and imaging into 3D geometries. Virtually navigate through your area of interest, with both qualitative and quantitative radiation imaging information.

This image shows a 3-minute measurement of a Cs-137 source in a barrel filled with woodchips. The multicolored line represents the path the operator walked while taking the data using an M-Series GammAware system.

We’re proud to share exciting news from H3D!

H3D has been awarded a $1.2 million contract by armasuisse, the Swiss Federal Office for Defence Procurement, to deliver 10 H420 high‑resolution radiation imaging spectrometers.

The H420 is built with H3D’s 3D CZT technology and is designed to perform real‑time gamma‑ray imaging and offer well-rounded performance in demanding field environments.

This award reflects our team’s continued commitment to advancing global safety, situational awareness, and mission effectiveness through cutting‑edge radiation‑imaging technology. We're proud to support the Swiss Armed Forces with solutions engineered and manufactured here in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

See our A401 radioisotope identification device (RIID) in action in our Photo of the Month! Here, the A401 is being used in an operation by a group specializing in explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) response. This RIID is a great addition to the EOD toolkit because it offers laboratory-quality results for isotope identification in a lightweight, ruggedized form. The A401 reduces the need to take data back to a secondary analysis station, making operations faster, safer, and cheaper.

We can't believe it's been nearly a year since H3D's CZT detectors launched to the International Space Station! Check out this article written by our President & Chief Operating Officer, Michael Streicher, summarizing the launch, the mission, the history, and the future of space-based 3D CZT.

"3D-CZT offers off-the-shelf instrumentation to study gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) and supernovae. After operating for nearly a year, the project has successfully demonstrated that 3D-CZT detectors work well in a space environment. The imaging capabilities of 3D-CZT allow physicists to further pinpoint the location of GRBs to tune other instruments in that direction to study secondary emissions from GRB-induced events."

Nuclear projects demand precision, trust, and proven expertise. Element supports utilities, manufacturers, and engineering teams with testing and qualification services that keep systems safe, compliant, and ready to perform—delivering data-driven insight to meet regulations and extend asset life.

This year, the Chemical Biological Operational Analysis (CBOA) event was changed to be the S&T CBRN-Capability Operational User Trial (SCOUT) to emphasize the event's efforts to scout promising technologies and their integration potential for applications.

H3D brought multiple detectors to this event, including our drone-based radiation imaging system, the M400iC, and our handheld RIID, the A401. Photos and videos of our detectors in action at the event can be found under the tag on various social media platforms.

The A401 successfully demonstrated why H3D often claims that we are changing the paradigm of radiation detection. Operators at SCOUT26 were able to perform background-free measurements in-situ, with
