Two days focused on automated mobility in Munich. 🇩🇪
On September 23–24, project partners came together for a two-day consortium workshop in Munich. The program covered progress across different areas of the project, including technical and operational developments, research activities and the next stages of MINGA.
As part of the workshop, Görkem Şahinkaya, OEM and Hardware Engineering Director at ADASTEC, presented ADASTEC’s contribution to the project and shared insights with consortium partners. Within MINGA, the MAN Lion’s City 12 E automated by ADASTEC will be tested on an existing public transport route in Munich.
The second day also included a demonstration at MAN’s test track, where consortium partners had the opportunity to see the MAN Lion’s City 12 E, automated by ADASTEC, in operation and experience automated driving firsthand.
The automated MAN Lion’s City 12 E will operate on MVG Line 178 between Petuelring and Freimanner Hölzl, bringing automated driving technology into Munich’s public transport environment.
Thank you to the MINGA project partners for the valuable discussions and exchange throughout the workshop, including the City of Munich Mobility Department, Stadtwerke MĂĽnchen GmbH, MVG and MAN Truck & Bus SE.
The MINGA project is being funded with approximately 13 million euros through mid-2027 by the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) under the funding guideline “Autonomous and Connected Driving in Public Transportation.
