Everyone knows Emma - she’s your sweet, hard working, rockstar realtor and community driven mama. She’s up for anything, always in the know, has 3 boys, and a busy work life. I honestly don’t know how she does it. Last summer we talked about doing a shoot together for fun - I needed some cute couples to do some fun shoots I had stewing in my mind. Originally I planned on taking them on an ice cream shop date, but we ended up never getting around to it (I was heavily pregnant). This year we made it happen; only I had a whole other vision for the shoot. A romantic, whimsical, documentary-style session. She told me it was their 10 year anniversary and I thought how perfect this would be. Just capturing the two of them. The life they’ve built. Treating them to a (likely rare) date night where they didn’t have to focus on their kiddos and could come back to a place of refocusing on each other. I love the family sessions - they have a special place in my heart with the candid moments, smiles, & playfulness. But don’t forget to treat yourselves to moments of just the two of you. Where this life started together. And celebrate everything you built from it.

Still reminiscing on this shoot with Cole DaSilva & Julia DaSilva back when they were expecting their first little one. It’s crazy how time sneaks by. How our families grow. How life changes in what feels like a blink of an eye. So grateful I can freeze moments like these and still look back on them & fall in love with past moments all over again.

If you’re nervous about a photo shoot with your significant other - don’t over think it. Look at it as a playful, fun, flirty date. You’re not in charge of choreographing, or posing, or knowing what to do. I will help with all of that. You only need to have a good time, being your goofy, loving self with your person and those genuine candid moments who come through in your photos 🤍 let’s get FLIRTY again!

Constantly grateful how many people baby moon in Maui and choose me to be their photographer. The connection I have with fellow mamas and mamas to be is such a sacred one. Sometimes you love to just gush about pregnancy experiences and motherhood.. and sometimes you just need someone to validate and understand how you are feeling. Either way, capturing women becoming mothers has become one of my favorite types of sessions.
