Sometimes you just have to stop, look back and be thankful. I started Yuit in December of 1998 to in an era when the "World Wide Web" was very new and building computers was the way to save money. After 25 years of business, I am very humbled for all the people I have met and had the pleasure of working with. I have learned a lot about people over these last 25 years. Both good and bad, but I do know that I am excited about the next 25 years. I personally want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has been a friend and customer/partner of Yuit. Does your business host a myriad of system databases that don’t relate or talk to one another? Historic day for our partners on both ends of this deal. We’ve worked with BP for over a decade on software solutions and played a key role in transitioning data when our partner Hilcorp purchased ACT several years ago. It’s bittersweet to see the major oil giant BP leave Alaska as they have provided countless opportunities for many Alaskans but Hilcorp’s track record has been proven over the years and we see good things on the horizon for Hilcorp and all Alaskans. Congrats to Hilcorp on this amazing deal and we are excited to continue to help with solutions.

The $5.6 billion deal will lead to the departure of a longtime Prudhoe Bay oil producer.
