If your brand colour looks slightly different on every print run, this is why.
CMYK printing mixes four inks cyan, magenta, yellow, and black to approximate any colour. It is excellent for full-colour photography and complex designs. But it introduces small variations each time it runs.
Pantone is a single premixed ink. Your exact colour, matched to a global standard, printed identically every single time regardless of which press, which supplier, which country.
For brand colours that must be consistent logos, wordmarks, brand assets Pantone is the right choice. For complex artwork and photography, CMYK is correct. Most professional packaging uses both.
