For the last 15 years, I have lived with chronic physical pain.
Not the kind of pain that comes and goes, but the kind that follows you into your mornings, your nights, your quiet moments, and your hardest days.

Along the way, I have also carried pain that no medicine can fully touch. I lost my wife to su***de. I almost lost my own life because of a medical complication. I lost my mom and my sister to cancer. I lost my dad to COPD and heart issues.

There have been seasons where it felt like life kept taking pieces of me. Seasons where I smiled on the outside while fighting battles no one could see. Seasons where I wondered how much more one heart, one body, and one soul could take.

But I am still here.

Still breathing.
Still standing.
Still fighting.

This video is not about pretending life is easy. It is not about acting like pain does not hurt. It is about reminding myself, and maybe someone else, that pain does not get the final word.

You can be brokenhearted and still have purpose.
You can be tired and still keep going.
You can hurt and still heal.
You can lose people you love and still carry their memory forward with love.

I have been through grief, sickness, loss, and still deal with physical pain daily, but I am still choosing hope. One day at a time. One step at a time. One prayer at a time.

If you are hurting today, please know this: you are not alone. Your pain is real, but your story is not over. Chris Spence

Rise above the pain.
