So, we are always pushing the envelope here on the lunatic fringe! I decided to go ALL IN and buy a 10mhz clock generator to time the HifiRose RS130 and RD160 DAC, BUT that wasn’t good enough! So, I decided to buy an AfterDark NetOne network switch with 10mhz clock input. Now, my switch, streamer, and DAC are all working on the same 10mhz clock signal and I can say with no hesitation, ITS AWESOME!! The speakers completely disappeared with images and voices completely hanging in space. Incredible sound from Tidal streaming. Also, everything is connected with fiber optic cables and SFP modules starting at my WiFi router and that runs to the Sonore fiber converter. All clock connections are 50ohm.

I just installed a HifiRose RD160 DAC into the system and WOW 🤯 what incredible sound. This is incredible sound quality from Tidal streaming. If you want an incredible digital front end, this is it!

I’ve often heard people ask if a preamp makes much of a difference or not? That’s a great question. Today, I put an Audio Research 6SE preamp into my system and well, the difference isn’t small. Better imaging, better detail, and a bit more high frequency resolution. The BIG difference though is the amount of bass! I thought my subs were cranked up, but when I checked, they weren’t even on! Excellent so far. It just sounds more real.

We just received a beautiful pair of Harbeth Super HL5 speakers in a eucalyptus veneer. These speakers are in near perfect condition with original boxes but don’t come with stands. These Harbeth speakers were hand made in England and are known for natural sound with spectacular imaging. We have one pair only on offer for $3,000. These are a real treat.
