Strong communities don’t happen by accident. They’re built by people and organizations who care. Our team is proud to support the Jensen Community Center's expansion project and appreciate the role they play in making this a great place to live, work, and do business.

If you’ve ever called in with an Internet or TV issue, there’s a good chance you’ve met Otto.

Otto is one of two Trouble Technicians on staff at Amherst Communications. Translation? If something isn’t working quite right, he's your guy. While a good chunk of technology issues can be resolved by simply unplugging the device, finding the root cause of a more complex problem is one of the things Otto enjoys most.

Beyond that, he'll tell you he likes getting to know our customers. Whether they share his love of antiquing or just have a good story to tell, he enjoys the personal interactions.

This week, Otto celebrates 36 years with us! While he says Amherst Communications will always be the “Phone company” to him, the technology has come a long way since he first started as an installer. After years spent both out in the field and working in the Central Office, he’s been through decades of evolution, and that experience certainly serves him well in his role today.
