It's a pity people don't really do anymore, right?! 😄It's a good thing we don't care that it's off-trend because keeping these gems offline would be a crying shame!😊 In fact, we'll resurrect TBT weekly here for awhile, not out of a spirit of "pining for the past" but of gratitude and appreciation. 👏

We're very future-focused in pursuit of ambitious goals here, but it's kind of cool sometimes to look back on the early days when, as Will says, they were answering emails at 3am, scribbling their personal cell numbers on business cards & post-its, and driving around in a funeral van to serve customers.

We're committed to building something enduring, impactful, and truly special while never forgetting who we are. 💙 Our core values, on which our company was raised, remain immovable guideposts as we grow—always have, always will.

So enjoy a few gems from the archives and a big random out-of-the-blue "thank you," to our OGs! 👏👏👏 10+-year employees include Ed, Will, Cody, Ryan, Alex, and Sara (in that order) and thanks also to those who contributed in that time & moved on. "Legacy" means something in IT and means even more at ACT.

I don’t know about you, but we’re feeling ✨TWENTY-TWO!✨ The company has officially hit double deuces ✌️🥳✌️—the year/number of the rifle, the Team Jack logo, Rex Burkhead, Emmitt Smth, Taylor Swift’s coming-of-age anthem, Jimmy Butler, Joey Logano, and we’d love to go on but can’t think of any more (it’s a catch-22 🤪). What’d we miss?! Thanks to our team, our friends, family, customers, and communities for all your support—it’s been a truly amazing ride so far…and we’re just getting warmed up! ❤️

We had the pleasure of cutting a ribbon on Tuesday in Hastings to celebrate becoming members of the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce! It was so great to have met a number of fellow chamber members, and we look forward to a long future serving the area!

We had the privilege of joining Jeff last week to hang out with Ogallala friends new and old, as Ed & Jarod presented on cybersecurity in the morning for the Keith County Chamber's Progressive Business Group, and the crew got to cut a ribbon later that evening to celebrate the opening of ACT-West. ✂️🤝🥳 Thank you all for the warm welcome over the past several months! We couldn't be more thrilled to be here. 📍

The pres says, “The nature of our services allows us to effectively manage our clients' systems remotely. Nevertheless, we have always been a team that not only appreciates human connection but *prioritizes* it, so having a physical presence here goes beyond simply allowing our customers to 'put faces to names’ and speaks more to our commitment to the communities we serve. It's been a blessing to be so warmly received. We’re thrilled to deepen our commitment to Ogallala and to be able to provide even more responsive, local service to help business thrive now and for many years to come.”

May is always such a crazy-busy month, but the weather has had Matt itching to break in the patio for the season, so he convinced us to have a parking lot yard game potluck. People came and went as they could between ⚾️ball games and 🎓grad parties, and it was a great, chill way to spend a Friday night. Had to review surveillance, but we're *pretty sure* Matt is still the co****le champ, and we're on the edge of our folding chairs waiting to hear if Kade has officially reached the age of being able to beat Ed 1-on-1 yet! 🏀

🎓 Congratulations to the 2026 Boone County Leadership Academy Graduates!

On May 14th, we were proud to celebrate 11 outstanding individuals from across Boone County who completed our three-month Leadership Academy cohort. Joined by nearly 50 community and family members at the Cardinal Inn in Albion, these graduates wrapped up a transformative experience focused on discovering their leadership strengths, sharpening communication skills, and exploring new ways to serve their communities.

A huge thank you to cohort leader Molly Brummond, Assistant Dean for Student Development and Chief of Staff at UNL's College of Law, for guiding this incredible group.

“It’s not press 1 for support.” 📞👸🏻It’s “Applied Connective; this is Claire: The end-all-be-all of customer service specialists. How can I grace you today?” Okay, she’s far too humble for that, but we’d totally understand if she made those claims because she can back them up like a hard drive (100% CSAT score?! How?!🤯Averaging 44 calls / day?! WH-?!🔥) Customers love her, but not more than we do! 🫶 She’s a go-getter, a doer, a “yes” woman, and an up-and-comer, and we are so grateful to have this wonderful human being—and absolute legend of a teammate—at Applied Connective.

We get asked all the time if we ever get any work done at ACT with all the fun—and Will’s here to tell you that everything appears to be ship-shape! 🫡👍

We admit ACT's really big on “play hard” (we’re seize-the-day, suck-the-marrow, love-your-life, use-your-gifts, don’t-merely-survive-your-days-waiting-for-the-weekend people), but ~mind you~ ACT is also really big on “work hard” (we're lead-the-pack, blaze-the-trail, raise-the-bar, blow-the-minds, can’t-be-beat, won’t-be-beat (might’ve borrowed that😊), push-yourself-every-day people) too, aren’t we, guys? 🥵💪😤 BUT don’t take us at our word…data never lies (and marketing is allowed to brag on her coworkers since she had nothing to do with these crazy numbers):
