For those business customers who are on Comcast phone services, please call us (when your phone lines start to work again) and we can help you get a more reliable phone service. Standard phone lines are about $39 per line. We have many other options available that will help keep you in touch with your customers. We've been installing wiring in 7 foot deep vaults this week and I had a group of curious onlookers. We were just hoping one of them didn't wander inside to help us. Hard to believe some of these are still full of water after the long hot summer we've had. We had to use a snorkel on the one in the blackberries.

This week we have been busy resolving problems with phone systems being hacked for international calling. Sneaky little ****'s have been hacking into voice mail boxes that do not have passwords and entering international phone numbers that dial out after calling the extension. If you have a voice mail box on your system you should always use a password. And make sure it's not a simple 1234 type. It's easy for someone to rack up over a thousand dollars in long distance charges over a weekend while you're out of the office and can't tell that your lines are in use!
Please call our office if you suspect someone has hacked your system or if you would like us to check to see if you are vulnerable to these attacks.
If you don't use international calling you should call your phone company, or your telecom agent (us), to turn off all international calling. Pass the message along to your business associates.
