Excited to be back at Abilene Christian University for another year of Wildcat Week!

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a special week—and what better way to kick off a busy season for 83 Entertainment than right here at ACU.

GO Wildcats! 💜

Yesterday we had the honor of providing production labor for the traveling national tour of Hadestown — right here in Abilene.

Our team at 83 Entertainment staffed 58 stagehands to support this incredible production. What makes this one extra special? Several of those crew members came from the Theater Departments at Abilene Christian University and McMurry University.

This is exactly what we’re passionate about.

Large national tours require experienced, dependable crews — and by partnering with our local universities, we’re able to provide a strong staffing solution for major road shows while also giving students a paid real-world, professional production experience.

These students aren’t just observing — they’re loading in, building, focusing, running deck, and learning what it takes to execute a Broadway-level production. They’re working alongside seasoned professionals, gaining hands-on knowledge that simply can’t be replicated in a classroom.

It’s a win for the show.
It’s a win for our local venues.
And most importantly — it’s a win for the next generation of production professionals.

We’re proud to invest in Abilene’s future while delivering excellence for world-class productions. Huge shoutout to our staffing manager for coordinating labor for last nights show.
