Today I had the opportunity to attend Data Centers in Abilene: A Local Conversation, and I left thinking about just how much is changing right here in our own community.
We hear about AI constantly, but it's pretty incredible to realize that some of the infrastructure powering the future of AI is being built right here in Abilene.
As someone who works with small businesses every day, what interests me most is what all of this means for them.
Technology is changing how people search, how they find businesses, how they make buying decisions, and how businesses market themselves.
But here's the part I think small business owners need to remember:
You don't have to become an AI expert. You just can't afford to ignore how quickly the way your customers find you is changing.
A strong website, accurate Google presence, good SEO, helpful content, reviews, social media and video are becoming more connected, not less.
My job is to keep learning what's changing, figure out what actually matters for small businesses, and help our clients put it to work without having to figure it all out themselves.
Pretty exciting to see Abilene playing such a big role in what's coming next. ❤️
