RadiØKit-2 is a kit that will help you transform your normal receiver to a SDR radio. It works with all receivers and ham radio transceivers that have a 455 KHz second IF. It makes it possible to listen to DRM, SSB and other broadcasts from a normal shortwave receiver.

I've been toying with the idea of getting an Elecraft K1, but the price and given that I'm not comfortable with CW is a show-stopper. I've also been looking for a tiny multi band kit, but the ones...

We are in the process of finalizing our new tube audio amplifier kit. The need for a 8 ohm dummy load arose. So we decided to build our own. We had most of the parts and all we needed were high quality non inductive resistors. Dale's NH-50 8 Ohm 50W 1% resistors were chosen and connected in series and parallel combination in order to achieve a 8 Ohm 200W load per channel. All the components were installed in an aluminium box and an extra bnc connector per channel was installed for connecting the oscilloscope and any other instruments needed. The final results were measured with our new Keysight U1733C LCR meter. Enjoy our photo album with all the steps of the construction. If you want anything to ask please do it in the comments. We can construct this audio dummy load for you if you like it. Next step is the construction of a 4 Ohm dummy load using film resistors.
