Our Solution

Our team being experienced in building and deploying software as is the norm everyday at our 9-5pm jobs,we thought it would be nice to disrupt the communications space using normal feature phones by designing an application to deliver and collect information to and from the refugees while using a language they best understand and at 0 cost.

Outgoing sms.
Send out multiple messages at absolutely zero cost to all 1.6M in one go saving the Implementing partners 3/4 their current expenditure.

Incoming Messages
Allowing refugees to dial a ussd code and interacting with it to report a pertinent issue in a particular category i.e health, education and delivering the message to the responsible message in english.

Translation APIs
Using smart language translate APis to convert one english message into a language best understood by the refugee and vice verser where you allow a refugee to dial a ussd *210*8000 # choose a language of choice and have the menus and customized messages translated back into English for the NGO.

Translated Voice calls over API
Allowing for NGOS to type a message in english and using our smart voice APis to create an audio file which is in turn translated and delivered to receipts in a language of choice.

Our story [Part 4]

Our team plus 9 others were taken to Bidi Bidi refugee settlement camp in january 2018 to specifically interact with the refugees and get a realistic yet independent mind on the challenges they go through and how best our solutions would address these challenges.

This would eventually influence us to overhaul and rebuild our solution to be more relevant to the users thanks to the visit in the refugee camp.
