ThinkX Software Ltd is a Ugandan software company building and supporting SaaS products and custom software solutions for businesses and financial institutions.
As our client base and customization work continue to grow, we are looking for a highly organized and ex*****on-focused **Software Project Manager / Delivery Manager** to take ownership of project coordination, client commitments, developer follow-up, and timely delivery.
# # # The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring that projects and client customizations move from **requirements → development → testing → deployment → client acceptance** without being forgotten, delayed, or poorly communicated.
You will work closely with the CEO, developers, QA/support teams, and clients.
This is a **hands-on delivery role**. We are looking for someone who follows up, identifies problems early, pushes work forward, and makes sure commitments are actually delivered.
# # # Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate multiple software projects and client customizations.
* Capture and document client requirements clearly.
* Break projects into actionable tasks and assign them to responsible team members.
* Maintain accurate project schedules, deadlines, priorities, and dependencies.
* Track all client promises and ensure nothing is forgotten.
* Follow up with developers on assigned tasks and delivery dates.
* Identify delayed or blocked tasks early and escalate appropriately.
* Coordinate software testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
* Track bugs, fixes, approvals, and deployment status.
* Coordinate communication between clients and the technical team.
* Provide clients with regular and accurate project updates.
* Ensure agreed requirements are delivered before projects are considered complete.
* Maintain project documentation and delivery records.
* Prepare weekly project and delivery reports for management.
* Monitor project performance against deadlines and agreed scope.
* Identify scope changes and ensure additional requirements are properly documented and approved.
* Help improve ThinkX's software development and project delivery processes.
# # # What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate should be:
* Highly organized and detail-oriented.
* Excellent at following up and holding people accountable.
* Strong in communication and client management.
* Comfortable working with software developers and technical teams.
* Able to manage several projects simultaneously.
* Proactive rather than waiting to be told what to do.
* Comfortable working under deadlines.
* Good at identifying problems before they become major issues.
* Confident enough to challenge delays and missed commitments.
* Strong in documentation and reporting.
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
# # # Technical Understanding
You do **not** need to be a software developer, but you must understand the basics of software development and be comfortable discussing:
* Git/GitHub
* APIs
* Databases
* Web applications
* Software bugs and feature development
* Staging and production environments
* Software testing and UAT
* Deployments
* Requirements and scope
* Development estimates and deadlines
You should be able to communicate effectively with developers without needing to understand every line of code.
# # # Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
* **2+ years of experience** in project management, software delivery, product operations, IT coordination, or a similar role.
* Experience working with software development teams is highly preferred.
* Experience managing multiple projects or clients is an advantage.
* Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, or similar tools is an advantage.

Within your first few months, we expect you to help ThinkX achieve:
* Clear visibility of every active project and customization.
* Every task has an owner and deadline.
* Client promises are documented and tracked.
* Developers know exactly what they are expected to deliver.
* Delays are identified early rather than after deadlines pass.
* Clients receive timely and accurate updates.
* UAT and deployment are properly coordinated.
* Fewer projects get stuck or forgotten.
* Management has a clear view of what is being delivered, what is delayed, and why.

**This is not a passive coordination or administrative position.**
We are looking for someone who can **drive ex*****on**.
If a developer is behind schedule, you should identify it, follow up, understand the blocker, and escalate when necessary.
If a client has been promised something, you should know **what was promised, who is responsible, when it is due, and whether it has actually been delivered.**
