WhatApp for Android Gets✏ New Doodle UI, Ability to Block❌ Screenshots Spotted

WhatsApp is all set to bring a number of new features to its Android application, which have been previewed in just released 2.19.106 beta version. The new WhatApp beta version is now rolling out the participants of the app's beta programme via Google Play Store. It brings a new user interface (UI) for the WhatsApp Doodle feature as well as ability to block screenshots in conversations. While the WhatsApp Doodle UI is now accessible to beta version users, the screenshot blocking support will reportedly go live alongside the biometric authentication.

According to a report in WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp beta updates, the chat app has released 2.19.106 beta version for Android app users. The update includes improvements to the WhatsApp doodle UI. For the uninitiated, WhatsApp Doodle feature is a part of the image edit screen in the chat app where the app users can go to add stuff like stickers, emojis, text, and hand-drawn content. The new UI includes two separate tabs for stickers and emojis. Further, the stickers are now grouped by favourites and category. WhatsApp has also included search support to make it easier for the consumers for find stickers or emojis. We were able to spot this change in Android beta v2.19.106.

💥 BREAKING: Apple announces AirPods 2 with wireless charging case, better battery life and 'Hey Siri

The Apple product surprises keep rolling out this week.

For the third day in a row, the iPhone maker quietly launched new gadgets ahead of a press event scheduled for Monday that will likely focus on the launch of its rumored streaming service.

The company announced Wednesday its next-generation wireless earbuds, AirPods 2. It features a wireless charging case, improved battery life and hands-free access to its Siri voice assistant.

The set will be available in two options: with a wireless charging case for $199 or with the normal standard case for $159 -- the same price as the original AirPods.

The wireless charging case is also available for $79 for people with the original version of AirPods.

AirPods 2 feature Apple's new H1 chip, which the company says gives better performance, faster connect times and up to 50% more talk time than the original AirPods. Users can also now say "Hey Siri" to activate the voice assistant, rather than tapping one of the ear buds.

AirPods 2 can be purchased online starting Wednesday and will hit Apple Stores next week.

*💥 BREAKING: Stadia is Google's new streaming service for games -- 🎮 no console needed

Google is not making a gaming console.

It is, however, launching a streaming service just for video games that will work on any TV with ~~~~Chromecast, computers running a Chrome browser, and Google's Pixel devices. You don't download the games to your devices, just play them over any Wi-Fi connection.

The Netflix-like product is called Stadia (that's the proper plural of "stadium") and is expected to launch later this year with big name titles including "Assassins Creed Odyssey" and special YouTube features. Even without a console, it could help Google take on game industry leaders Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo.

The company announced its big foray into gaming Tuesday during a presentation at, fittingly, the annual Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

Stadia will stream games in 4K at 60 frames per second in HDR with surround sound over a 25 Mbps internet connection. For now, it only works over Wi-Fi, but Google expects it to work on 5G connections in the future.

Samsung Unveils 👏 the Galaxy S10 📱

Samsung is announcing its new lineup of Galaxy S10 smartphones, including the 6.1-inch Galaxy S10 ($899) and the 6.4-inch S10+ ($999).

The company highlighted its "Infinity O-Display" which optimizes brightness levels, shows less blue light and displays over 16 million colors.

The camera has new bells and whistles too, like improved zoom and an ultra wide lens that allows for ground-to-sky panoramic shots. Plus, it offers new lighting and blurring effects.

Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, made an appearance on stage to announce a new camera mode on the Galaxy S10, called "Instagram mode."

It lets users easily snap content and share it to Instagram Stories, which are photos and videos that disappear from the platform after 24 hours.

Samsung also says it has worked with Instagram rival Snapchat to ensure that photos taken in the app are as high-quality as on the S10's camera.
