Quickbooks online TIP:
You know how the QB creates the accounts on the COA: Uncategorized Assets, Uncategorized Expense, etc. so the transaction always balances? Then clients pick these in the bank feed because they aren't careful. Really can't blame them. They aren't the pros like us! These accounts cannot be deleted. You cannot get rid of them - they will just come back with a -1! Even more annoying! But, I get why these QB-created accounts are there.

So, instead of cursing under your breath how clients are "clueless" (Am I the only one that does that?) change the name in the COA to "DO NOT USE!" or "RECLASSIFY!", "IS THIS TRANSFER CORRECT??" or my personal Favorite, "UH-OH, DEBBIE'S GONNA CALL ME!" Make them all CAPS so they stand out.

Now when QB sees these transactions in the bank feed, your client (or perhaps even you or your staff) may notice this new name, stop for a second and correctly classify it the first time! A QB Miracle!

Plus, it makes QBO a wee-bit more fun. At least for me!
