A great experience to participate in this years First GMES and Africa Phase 2 Continental Forum that started the 27th November 2023 in Egypt organized by African Union Commission under the theme “Earth Observation for Resilience and Innovation in Africa”. Very inciting presentations, panel discussions, hearing community success stories across Africa, networking and potential in collaborations. The future of Africa is great and incremental collaboration, synergizing and co-creation is a key and a strategic pillar for sustainable industry growth and community development. A big thank you to AUC and RCMRD our consortia and all partners for making private sector inclusion and participation in GMES and Africa Phase 2 possible to complement development work on the continent.

Exceedingly proud and excited to feature in an interview with our Chair Board, Prof Samson James Opolot in the 50 most innovative companies to watch. This is motivating and inspiring as well to close the year 2023 with high spirits and optimism. This comes in the face of our 15 years of , , while remaining to the evolving markets and industry and we are happy to remain consistent and resolute to our mandate and vision.

It was great for GEO-MIK to join the ecosystem of esteemed partners and stakeholders in Nairobi, Kenya at the RIC 2023 and during the follow up meetings to enhance collaborations and synergy's with partners in the Geospatial Space. Special thanks to RCMRD, ICIPE, ESRI, Oaker Services Ltd for the good reception in today's engagements. We thank our team comprised of Prof James Samson Opolot, Chair BoD at GEO-MIK, Dr. Patrick Musinguzi, Board member, Moses Banduga, our Regional Programs Coordinator and Denise K our GIS and RS technician for representing team GEO-MIK to the strategic meetings in Nairobi Kenya. It was also a great opportunity to catch up with Dr. Bashir of the AUC at the sidelines of RIC2023. We look ahead to more sustainable collaborations and engagements in the future towards advancing the geospatial and space industry for social economic development of Africa and beyond. We see the future of the industry and economies in Africa and the world at large lies in effective collaborations and sustainable partnerships of all stakeholders towards a common development agenda.
