The Diya team recently visited students of the Educational and Research Institute of Foreign Philology at Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University as part of a career meeting for third-year philology students. Usually, such meetings are held with language schools or translation agencies, so our goal was to introduce students to the IT industry, explain how IT companies operate, and showcase career opportunities for specialists with strong English skills.

During the meeting, we discussed what an IT company actually does, how the software development process works, who works in IT besides developers and testers, and the roles philology students can grow into (including IT Engineer, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Marketing Specialist, HR, Recruiter, and Sales Manager). We also emphasized that English can serve as a solid foundation for building a successful career in IT when combined with technical knowledge.

The students of the Institute were especially interested to learn that Diya is open to hiring juniors for positions such as Customer Support and L1 Business Application Support. We shared how important mentorship is in our company and how our experienced specialists help beginners grow professionally.

A special part of the meeting was the story shared by our colleague Olha Zghurska, L2 Business Application Support Specialist and graduate of the Institute. She spoke about her fears of entering the IT industry, her job search after graduation, and how team support helped her gain confidence and develop new skills.

Later, Anna Komova, Talent Acquisition Specialist, discussed current open positions at Diya, how to follow vacancy updates, and what recruiters typically pay attention to when communicating with junior candidates. She also shared practical advice for students preparing for interviews: learn more about the company beforehand, stay curious, and don't be afraid to ask questions.

We're grateful for the warm atmosphere and active participation. Looking forward to new meetings Навчально-науковий інститут іноземної філології!

Diya believes that great teams are built through constant learning and professional development. That's why we support our specialists in leveling up their skills, boosting their knowledge, exploring new approaches, and investing in their growth.

Huge congratulations to Vitalii Ishchenko, Head of IT Operations Department, and Nataliia Sokolyk, Head of Customer Solutions and Design Department, for completing the "Management for Leaders" program at UCU Business School.

The four-module program was focused on leadership, team development, operational and project management, finance, communication, and emotional intelligence. Beyond theoretical knowledge, the course provided practical tools and diverse perspectives on teamwork. One of the most valuable aspects of the program was the opportunity to connect with professionals from various fields, exchange experiences, and learn from them and from each other.

Better leaders create better teams. We're proud of you both! You rock!

Today, Ukrainians around the world celebrate Vyshyvanka Day — a celebration of the vyshyvanka, the traditional Ukrainian embroidered garment. For every Ukrainian, vyshyvanka is a symbol of culture, identity, and traditions passed down through generations.

Every ornament and pattern on a vyshyvanka has its own meaning. Traditionally, embroidery was believed to symbolize protection, strength, prosperity, and connection to one’s roots. Different regions of Ukraine also have their own unique embroidery styles, colors, and symbols.

How do you find your first job in IT, and what do recruiters actually need? These were the questions that Anna Tkachuk, Head of HR Department, mentor, and career consultant, discussed with Kood/Zhytomyr students.

Anna shared her experience with job searching, explained how the hiring process works in the IT field, and offered tips for creating a resume that truly gets noticed.

"Your resume should ideally be a response to the vacancy. If a job description mentions qualities like being a fast learner, strong communicator, or hardworking, these traits should be reflected in your CV."

The session also included a practical CV review. Three students received personalized feedback on what was already well-structured and what could be improved in terms of layout, wording, and presentation of experience.

Thank you for the invitation, and we look forward to seeing you again!

Technology keeps small and mid-sized businesses running, as everyone's daily tasks depend on a stable internet connection, reliable software, and secure access to data. When something goes wrong, such as the network going down or someone clicking a malicious link, the cost isn't just stress, it's money.

Each year, SMBs lose thousands to preventable IT issues, such as:

Outdated Hardware Slows You Down

Many small businesses try to stretch the life of their computers, servers, and networking gear. It's an open secret that old hardware runs slower and crashes more often. Worse, outdated machines stop receiving security updates, leaving your business exposed to risks that could have been avoided.

Solution: plan a refresh cycle. Replace workstations every 3-5 years and servers every 5-7 years.

Weak or Nonexistent Backup Practices

What should you do when someone accidentally deletes a critical file? Or ransomware locks down your entire network? If you don't have reliable backups, you could lose your valuable data.

Solution: use automatic, redundant backups across local and cloud systems. Test them regularly, and keep them encrypted to stay secure.

Poor Password Hygiene and Security Gaps

Shared logins, weak passwords, and poor security leave businesses exposed to phishing, brute-force attacks, and credential theft.

Solution: establish strong password policies with complexity and regular updates. Enforce multi-factor authentication for critical systems and use a password manager to store and share credentials securely. Most importantly, train employees to recognize phishing attempts.

IT Support that Fixes, Never Prevents

If support only comes when something breaks, you lose time and money. Over time, this reactive approach leads to missed deadlines, unhappy clients, and lost revenue.

Solution: shift to proactive IT. Regular maintenance, updates, and monitoring prevent issues before they happen.

No Clear IT Policies

Many businesses grow organically, adding new software, users, and devices as needed with little to no standardization. As a result, files end up scattered, employees use unauthorized apps, and personal devices access sensitive data, all of which increase risks.

Solution: document and enforce clear IT policies on where to store files, which tools are approved, how to connect securely, and how devices are managed.

Stop losing time and money to preventable IT issues. Partner with Diya and keep your business running as it should.

"Mom" is often the very first word we try to say, syllable by syllable. And in so many languages around the world, it sounds almost the same: "мама", "mama", "maman". A simple word that carries so much meaning.

There's a saying: "Men work from sun to sun, but a woman's work is never done." It feels especially true when we think about mothers. They help us with homework, stay up with us when we can't sleep, and tuck us in at night. Their care doesn't stop on weekends, holidays, or even when we grow up. It's constant. A mother gives us life and then stays beside us as we learn how to live it.

We're grateful for everything that often goes without saying. Thank you for being the best mother!

Every year on May 8, together with the entire civilized world, we honor those who stood against Na**sm and paid the highest price during World War II. Now we understand that the concept of peace is fragile. It may only seem unshakable and solid until the moment it collapses.

Peace lives in everyday choices, in responsibility, in the way people treat each other and the world around them. And peace takes generations to rebuild. That is why remembrance matters. Because as long as we remember, we understand the value of what we have, and why it must be preserved.

Peace is never something we can take for granted.

In many cases, an SEO audit helps businesses understand why their website isn't attracting traffic, why pages aren't ranking in search results, or why marketing efforts aren't delivering the desired results.

Wondering if it's time to run an SEO audit? Here are five clear signs.

1. You are launching a new website or digital product
Before launching a website, companies usually run a technical and SEO audit to make sure everything works correctly.

An audit may include:

technical performance check
SEO structure analysis
keyword research
analytical setup
mobile optimization
advertising readiness

According to Google, even a 1-second delay in page load time can reduce conversions by up to 20%.

2. Your website has low traffic or a poor search ranking
If your site is not visible in search results, the problem is often SEO-related.

During an audit, specialists usually check:

keywords and competitors
site structure
page speed
backlinks
metadata
indexing errors

More than 90% of pages get no organic traffic from Google, often because of a poor SEO setup.

3. You plan to launch advertising campaigns
Launching ads without an audit often wastes budget.

Before launching ads, businesses should verify:

analytics tracking
conversion events
landing page quality
page performance
mobile performance check
keyword relevance

Companies lose 30-40% of their ad budget to incorrect tracking or technical issues.

4. You haven't checked your website for a long time
Search engine algorithms, plugins, and integrations change constantly.

If you don't run audits regularly, problems accumulate, including:

outdated SEO settings
broken links
slow loading speed
duplicate content
indexing problems
incorrect analytics data

Most experts recommend running an SEO audit every 6-12 months.

5. You do not clearly understand how your website performs

If you cannot answer questions like:

Where does your traffic come from?
Why do users leave the site?
Why are conversions low?
What pages perform best?
What keywords bring visitors?

Then you need an SEO audit, as it will give you a complete picture of your website's performance.

A single SEO audit can uncover hidden issues holding your business back. The sooner you run one, the sooner you'll see stronger traffic, better rankings, and higher conversions. Contact Diya if you need an SEO audit.

On April 24, our Talent Acquisition Specialist, Anna Nehrii, spoke at the GeekSpace meetup on the topic “Burnout: How Not to Crash When Your Brain Is in Multitasking Mode.”

This was Anna’s first experience speaking at an IT meetup, and it turned out to be a great one!

Anna is happy to share her thoughts on the event:

"I talked about burnout: how to recognize it and how to avoid 'burning out' while working in a constant multitasking mode. One of the key ideas I shared is that multitasking is not really an advantage, but rather a challenge for our brain. The experience felt very warm and inspiring, as the audience was friendly and highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions and actively participating throughout the session. It really felt like we had a great time together. A special thanks to my colleagues who came to support me, it meant a lot💙. The event also turned out to be a great networking opportunity. I want to mention that we were also collecting donations to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the event. Just a wonderful experience! I hope there will be more events like this in our city!"
