He bends his neck while swimming in the water, unlike other breeds that keep their necks straight. Young individuals up to 3 years old are brown in color, but then they become white. The lifespan of a whooper swan can be up to 28 years. This species is found in the Northern and Southern parts of Europe and Asia.
