Let us throw a question your way. How often do you find a perfect 100% match between what your client wants and what you can offer?
Imagine this: You're in the business of selling delicious chocolate ice cream. Along comes a customer, a kid, and what does he want? Vanilla ice cream. You don't have that flavor, but he settles for the chocolate one. Sure, he gets ice cream, but he's only halfway happy because it wasn't exactly what he wanted. Would he come back knowing you don't have what he wanted?
Now, think about other customers. Their wishes are different – they might want extra toppings, a specific presentation, or want to buy a dessert from a fancy ice cream truck only. A one-size-fits-all approach, like having just one flavor in your fridge, won't cut it.
What do we do? Offer options. In our line of work, providing software development services, we can't rely on template solutions. At ROOM4 we customize our tech stack, management approaches, agreements and terms for EACH client. It's not always a simple process, but nothing beats a happy customer who not only comes back but recommends your services to others.
By the way, if we're doing the math right, about a quarter of our projects come from these recommendations. Not too bad!
