TYPO3 v12 LTS is finally here! 🚀
The TYPO3 community is thrilled to announce the release of TYPO3 v12 LTS. This version is a new flagship, and as a long-term support release, it will receive security updates for at least three years. Read on to learn more about the latest milestone in the TYPO3 history.

More than 140 highly motivated developers contributed to the TYPO3 v12 LTS code base in 569 days since November 2021. Apart from the developers, talented experts from many different knowledge areas also shaped the new release. This effort resulted in over 3250 Git commits and 216 new features, ensuring that every goal we set for the LTS release was delivered on time.

TYPO3 is once again a technically matured and jam-packed open-source enterprise content management system of the top class. This article only gives a glimpse into the new amazing features and countless improvements. Wenn ein TYPO3 Extension Update ansteht, bedeutet das erstmal eine Menge Arbeit. Die TYPO3 Release Zyklen werden deutlich kürzer. Hat man sich gerade auf TYPO3 V8 gebracht steht schon Version 11 vor der Türe. Es ist aber nicht so, als müsste man beim TYPO3 Extension Development nur aktuellen versionen hinterherlaufen. Sie bringen uns auch eine Menge neuer und cooler Features. Wie die Symfony Dependency Injection. Und es können auch wieder viele neue PHP Fuktionen effizienter genutzt werden. Das bedeutet die GeneralUtility muss nicht mehr für alles herhalten.

In dieser Live Coding Session mit Sebastian Schreiber, Daniel Siepmann, Daniel Haupt, Thomas Norre und Matthias Adrowsky haben wir uns gemeinsam mit Roland Golla in einem Never Code Alone Live Coding Meetup RectorPHP angeschaut. Das hat Spass gemacht und echt neues Know-how gebracht.
