Our Automation Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will work across multiple customer projects that leverage our Core Automation Framework to build, deploy, and maintain web and mobile web automated tests.
Responsibilities & day-to-day activities:
• Build, deploy, and maintain web and mobile web automated tests
• Implement, deploy, maintain CI infrastructure to execute and debug tests
• Automate test cases using our Java-based Core Automation Framework
• Develop and extend our internal automation tools & libraries
• Perform root cause analysis for issues uncovered by test results
• Perform peer code reviews of automated tests
Required Skills and Experience:
• B.S. degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field
• Hands-on experience with Appium for automating web, native, hybrid apps on iOS & Android as well as Selenium for automating browser-based apps
• Experience using Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins etc.), version control solutions (GIT etc.)
• 4+ years of experience in core Java test automation development
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• Responsible, team-oriented, self-starter, proactive with good analytical and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Experience in previous development role (prior to SDET experience)
• Experience with an IDE (e.g. Eclipse, IDEA)
• Experience automating Web Service/API testing
• Experience with an Agile/SCRUM development methodology
• Experience working with remote devices hosted in cloud-based labs
• Experience with Continuous Delivery/Deployment processes

Freelance Test Automation Engineer (m/f/x) – Python

• Type: Freelance
• Duration: min 6 months, possibly longer
• Start: ASAP
• Location: Remote / Home-Office based anywhere in Europe

• Capacity: Full-time, 40 hours per week during Mon to Fri, standard business hours (UTC +1 Time Zone)

Responsibilities & day-to-day activities:

● Architect automation solutions for customers to solve their needs
● Build, deploy, and maintain web and mobile web automated tests, using the client’s custom built framework
● Use Python scripting to automate test cases
● Manage CI infrastructure to execute and debug tests
● Perform root cause analysis for issues uncovered by test results
● Perform peer code reviews of automated tests
● Provide technical feedback to engineering teams

Required Skills and Experience:

● B.S. degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field
● Hands-on experience with Selenium for automating web and mobile web apps on all common browsers
● 3+ years of experience in software QA, manual testing or a development role
● 3+ years of experience in using Python for automation scripting
● Experience automating iOS and Android applications with Appium
● Fluent English verbal and written communication skills, German is a bonus
● Experience with continuous integration systems
● Responsible, team-oriented, self-starter, proactive with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:

● Experience with an IDE (e.g. Eclipse, IDEA)
● Experience automating Web Service/API testing

● Executing mobile tests remotely via cloud providers
