Buntar Aerospace lands in Vestbee's ranking of the biggest funding rounds of 2026, alongside Uforce, Preply, and HOLYWATER.

Buntar's $10.4M round, backed by Axon Enterprise and Munkene AS, funds the scaling of its reconnaissance drones and mission software.

As one of Buntar's investors, we've watched this team turn battlefield-tested technology into international markets take seriously. Ukrainian defence tech pulled in more than $129M in grants and equity in 2025, up 119% year over year, with foreign investors providing nearly half of it. In H1 2026, KPMG counted four Ukrainian defence tech deals above $5M, against one a year earlier. Buntar, Uforce, and Farsight Vision are named as proof that defence financing is shifting from small cheques toward institutional VC and strategic corporate capital.

Last week, together with Challenger Accelerator, we brought together 50+ founders, investors, and builders in a cozy garden in Kyiv.

The event brought together guests from SoftServe, N-iX, PrivatBank, Ukrposhta, the Ukrainian Startup Fund, KSE, SET University, and our own ecosystem, along with Sigma Software Group, which is actively integrating AI into customer experience. The discussion centered on the challenges founders actually face: what matters more, the team or the idea; when to trust data and when to trust intuition; whether funding at the wrong time can do more harm than good; and when to use AI and when to avoid it.

Taking the mic were two founders of AI companies: Anna Chorna, co-founder and marketing director of Mindship, and Bohdan Khaietskyi of Tayra_ai; the moderator was Alex Orap, founder of YouScan Social Listening ✨.

Our portfolio startup Dovkolo Club launched market.dovkolo.club. (https://market.dovkolo.club/)

In 2023, this was just a chat. Ukrainians who had relocated from Sigma Software Group were telling each other where to find services you can trust when you know no one.
