🔥 TechNovator won Deep Tech Accelerator: Hardware Edition.

9 Ukrainian hardware startups presented at Demo Day after four months of acceleration. TechNovator took the $10,000 grant for their wireless energy transmission technology – powering drones, robots, and medical implants without cables or contact stations.

🦄 As partners of AI HOUSE Deep Tech Accelerator, we supported the program through mentorship and hosted sessions at Sigma Software Group's Kyiv office. Our Operations Manager, Yaroslava Gritsaienko, alongside Bohdan Matviiv and Dmytro Fokshei from Sigma Software, worked with teams on product strategy, business models, and go-to-market.

Other standout teams: Snipel Systems (autonomous drone interception), Watcher AI (edge AI for military surveillance), Robol (humanoid robots running AI-powered coffee shops), and six more across robotics, agro-tech, energy, and industrial tech.

🇺🇦 🇩🇪 Tech IT Hub opened in Berlin – a space showcasing 's tech ecosystem to Ukrainians living in Europe.
It's part of Unity Hub, designed to help millions of Ukrainians abroad maintain strong ties with Ukraine by providing access to education, employment, business opportunities, and government services.
Sigma Software joined forces with Diia.City Union and Kharkiv IT Cluster to launch Tech IT Hub in partnership with KSE, SoftServe, and National Contech Cluster.

Visitors of Tech IT Hub can get a better understanding about the Ukrainian tech ecosystem and organizations that move it forward. Among them – two that we contributed to:
- Defence Builder Accelerator – Ukraine's defense tech accelerator, VC fund, and investment services. Founded by us together with Kyiv School of Economics and Buntar Aerospace.
- DOVKOLO CLUB – our portfolio company. Created by a team from Sigma Software, backed by us. 700 businesses across 31 countries, just launched a marketplace for Ukrainian products in Europe.

The hub also features Respeecher's voice-cloning tech (featured in four Oscar-nominated films) – now giving voice to Olesya, the AI assistant answering visitors' questions.

😍 And "United by Victories" – a mural exhibition created by street artists from all 25 regions of Ukraine. Message from home: "We will stand, we will win."

🏆Sigma Software Group won the Social Responsibility Award at Diia City Awards 2025.
$5.5+ million in aid since the start of the full-scale war. ₴2 million donated monthly in 2025 to support the army and communities. 10+ charity fundraisers completed. ₴675,000 donated to UNBROKEN Ukraine. Two charity runs with veterans.

These initiatives are implemented via Sigma Software Unity Fund, the charitable foundation within our Group, supporting the Armed Forces and civilians.

🔥🔥🔥 Defence Builder Accelerator is becoming a full defense tech ecosystem.

We co-founded it in 2024 together with Kyiv School of Economics and Buntar Aerospace to back UA companies along the whole path from prototype to scale. However, the market grew faster than we expected, and founders needed more than acceleration. So we responded.

Defence Builder is extending to include three directions: an accelerator (15+ companies, $40M+ combined valuation), a $5M early-stage fund (portfolio includes Buntar Aerospace, Huless, MaXon Systems), and specialized capabilities – sector intelligence, due diligence, and corporate governance.

🚀 Our Investment Director, Daria Yaniieva is taking the position of the President of the Defence Builder Ecosystem and will lead this next stage.

🇺🇦 Ukrainian defense tech is scaling. Defence Builder is building the infrastructure to support it.

🔥Big news for Defence Builder: we are expanding into a full defence tech ecosystem

In 2024, Sigma Software Labs, Kyiv School of Economics and Buntar Aerospacecreated Defence Builder with one belief: Ukrainian technologies can become world-class and a foundation of the country’s future economy.

We started as an accelerator, helping early-stage teams move from prototype to market. But as the market evolved, acceleration alone was no longer enough.

Research by KSE Institute, Defence Builder, and Brave1 estimates Ukraine's defence market at $4.8B, while investment grew from $10M in 2023 to $129M in 2025. Scale like this demands more capital, analytics, expertise, validation, and stronger connections across the market.

So Defence Builder is expanding beyond the accelerator model and launching new directions within the ecosystem. The ecosystem now brings together three integrated pillars:

🔹DB Accelerator continues to grow. Two batches have already been completed, with 15+ companies across key subsectors. Average product readiness is TRL 7, and the combined valuation of companies from the first two batches exceeds $40M. Batch 3.0 is currently underway and, for the first time, includes both Ukrainian and European teams.

🔹DB Fund I is a $5M early-stage VC actively deploying since 2025, investing in defence and dual-use companies from pre-seed to Series A, with tickets up to $300K. The DB founding partners committed the first $1.5M, alongside partners and investors from Ukraine, the US, the UK, and Europe. The portfolio already includes Huless, Sine Engineering, Falcons, Buntar Aerospaces and MaXon Systems.

🔹DB Capabilities is a set of specialized services covering sector intelligence (with KSE Institute and 20+ analysts), venture deals advisory, defense-specific due diligence, and corporate governance aligned with EU and US standards.

Daria Yaniieva Investment Director at Sigma Software Labs has become President of the Defence Builder Ecosystem and will lead its next stage of growth. At the same time, DB Accelerator team — led by Line Rindvig — will continue to develop this direction within the ecosystem.
