VISICOM Company had the opportunity to exhibit at GSMA Mobile World Congress (Barcelona, Spain) once again, showcasing innovative geospatial solutions for wireless network radioplanning and optimization and demonstrating extended suite of 3D digital maps for various regions of the world.
Telecommunication industry-defining event, Mobile World Congress (MWC), was once again hosted in the Mobile World Capital Barcelona on 25-28 February. This year, Congress was held in a brand new venue with a much larger facility enabling more than 1,700 companies from 100+ countries to display latest technologies. A four-day conference and exhibition attracted a record number of CEOs & CTOs from the world’s largest and most influential mobile operators, software companies, equipment providers, Internet companies and companies from other industry sectors (automotive, finance and healthcare, and government delegations) from across the globe.
The rapid growth of 4G/LTE technologies was the key theme of MWC. Numerous mobile operators announced and detailed already revealed LTE rollout plans and development strategies, this is an indication of the ever increasing requirements as subscriber numbers and data usage increases. Certainly, when deploying new LTE in high-density areas, the highest possible performance is the high priority objective for mobile operators.
The use of exceptionally accurate and recent geographic data is required to achieve an efficient network RF-planning and optimization. VISICOM innovative solutions try to keep up with the growing demand, being focused on advancing of 3D mapping capabilities.
Our company possesses the fast-growing suite of off-the-shelf 2D and 3D maps, enabling telecom operators to have a rapid access to geographic data whatever territory their project is to be implemented. During the GSMA Congress, VISICOM demonstrated a wide range of recent geographic data which are ready to be delivered to telecom companies, including the high-accurate 3D models for more than 300 cities. Being a global provider, our company is focused on extending the coverage of its geodata in all regions of the world. In the last year our company has highly increased the number of completed projects for territories of the Middle East, South-East Asia (SEA), Pacific Asia (APAC), and Latin America, meeting the explosive growth of telecom markets in developing, newly industrialized countries.
The high attention of operators and solutions vendors to VISICOM geodata coverage during the Congress showed that the high-accurate, relevant 3D and 2D models are being increasingly viable and effective for bringing the network coverage to perfection.
