The private online school Unicorn School, created on the basis of the EDMAPS educational ecosystem, was included in Forbes Next 250 in 2025 as one of the most promising educational initiatives in Ukraine.

According to the UN, more than 250 million children worldwide lack basic access to education. This problem is most often caused by the high costs of building infrastructure and training school staff. We address this challenge by providing our own digital infrastructure, enabling learning to start wherever there is internet access. This means we can significantly reduce the number of children left without schooling.

Unicorn School has developed and launched the educational course “Digital Hygiene for Teenagers” based on the EDMAPS platform.

The project was created in collaboration with:
— Oksana Moroz, a digital hygiene expert and founder of the initiative “How Not to Become a Vegetable”
— Kateryna Holtsberg, a child and family psychologist and president of the Professional Association of Child Analytical Psychologists.

Developing specialized courses on the gamified EDMAPS platform enables teenagers to acquire relevant knowledge and skills in an interactive format, while also providing parents with expert advice for discussing complex and important topics with their children.

These solutions can be adapted to various contexts:
🔹 In developing countries: such educational programs are especially valuable where many teenagers have limited access to timely, high-quality information.
🔹 In countries affected by conflict: in addition to the digital hygiene course, it is possible to quickly create a program on “Basic First Aid”, offering a practical guide for saving lives in critical situations.

We work with 27 private schools in Ukraine and see a common challenge: during breaks, children stay on their smartphones. At the same time, all teachers know that an active break increases concentration and reduces fatigue in the next lessons. Research shows that even 10 minutes of physical activity can improve students’ cognitive functions by 15–20%.

To solve this problem, on the basis of EDMAPS we created a gamified solution that motivates children to move more.

CYBERTAP is an interactive panel with more than 100 scenarios that combine physical activity with elements of play. The games are aimed at developing speed, reaction, and memory.

Students move, compete, receive positive emotions, and take a break from gadgets.
