We've seen projects with thousands of automated tests and still plenty of production issues.

Automation is important and we use it too. But automation checks what we expect the system to do. It doesn't tell us whether we're solving the right problem in the first place.

Quality is the combination of good requirements, collaboration, domain knowledge, and testing.

Automation supports that process. It doesn't replace it.

You're no longer in 2015, having to wait until the end of the day to see your inventory levels.

It's 2026, and ERPs don't batch – they stream. Event-Driven Architecture keeps data moving between modules the moment something happens. That means live inventory, live financials, live everything. But here's the part that is often out of focus: real-time ERP is only possible in the cloud. On-prem infrastructure struggles to support continuous data streams at this scale. So if an organization is still running on-prem and wondering why its AI initiatives aren't delivering, the architecture is the answer. The cloud and real-time ERP just go together.
