Rumors about the reissue of the old Grand Theft Auto still have a basis - according to Kotaku, they will be released in late October-early November.
We are talking about GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas, which are redesigned on the basis of Unreal Engine with "original and modern graphics" - according to eyewitnesses, visually the games look like heavily modified versions of the originals. The interface will also be updated, but left in the classic style.Production is led by Rockstar Dundee - the former Ruffian Games, best known for Crackdown 2 and Kinect Star Wars, as well as assistance in creating Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Crackdown 3.
It is noteworthy that the collection is created for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, Google Stadia, iOS and Android, but initially the release can only take place on consoles - on PCs and smartphones it can be delayed until next year.At the same time, initially the remasters planned to release much earlier, and then wanted to make them a bonus for the purchase of next-generation versions of Grand Theft Auto V - now the plans have changed again, and decided to make the release independent at a separate price.
The collection could be the beginning of a series of ports - for example, Rockstar is already considering updating the original Red Dead Redemption for modern platforms.
