Why is the rainbow shaped like an arc?

The sun's rays, passing through the raindrops in the air, are decomposed into a spectrum, since different colors of the spectrum are refracted in the drops at different angles. As a result, a circle is formed - a rainbow, part of which we see from the earth in the form of an arc, and the center of the circle lies on a straight line connecting the observer with the Sun, and the Sun is behind . If the light in the drop is reflected twice, then a secondary rainbow can be seen.

Even though we know that in fact the iridescent overflows in the sky are caused by the refraction of light rays in the air saturated with water droplets, there is still something fabulous in them.
