Сьогодні поговоримо про розповсюджений синдром самозванця🤓 Інколи він трапляється зі всіма нами🤷🏻♀️
Impostor Syndrome or “I just got lucky”
💡What is it, really?
Impostor syndrome is when you:
-finally land a new job and think, “They probably didn’t have many candidates…”
-solve a tough problem and say, “That was just a lucky guess…”
-get a compliment and respond, “Oh stop, you’re exaggerating…”
It’s that feeling like everyone around you is a pro, and you somehow ended up here by accident.
💡Where does it come from?
-setting impossibly high standards for yourself
-constantly comparing yourself to others (hello, LinkedIn)
-facing new challenges and responsibilities
-working in a field where everyone seems like a “dinosaur” in their craft
💡So what can you do about it?
-pause and remind yourself: you didn’t just “get lucky-you worked for it
-talk about it with friends or colleagues—many go through the same thing
-ask for feedback from a mentor or manager
🧱Most importantly: don’t believe everything your mind tells you
You’re not an impostor. You’re growing.
Even if sometimes it feels like, “I have no idea what I’m doing”—that’s okay.
It’s not a sign of incompetence. It’s proof you’re moving forward.
🧱It’s not shameful not to know something.
🧱It’s not shameful to ask.
And trust us- even those who look like total pros sometimes think, “What am I doing here?”
