You can use Power Query to clean messy data. In this post, I'm attaching images showing a Power Query's data mashup (M) code chunck for cleaning the a data and how the final solution looks like after cleaning together with the original data.

I used the power of itertools to simplify my code. Making the code cleaner and run faster. Python in Excel has made all these packages available in Excel so you can run your codes without requiring any installation of these packages.
