Research and development of the exhaust heat insulation cover (II)

It is indeed difficult to manufacture graphite/nylon composites with a graphite high weight percentage. The thermal viscosity of nylon is insufficient, which makes it difficult to produce composites.
Therefore, we return to use Polypropylene (PP) as the matrix, and use standard PP and high-impact PP to produce Graphite /PP composites.
From the observation of two composite material injection models, it can be seen that the feasibility of plastic injection is achieved.
Furthermore, in order to increase the strength of the Graphite /PP composite, we added glass fiber as a inforcement to improve the impact resistance of the exhaust heat insulation cover.

The heat insulation function of motorcycle exhaust pipes has always been the subject of research. In the production process, after the parts are injection molded, an aluminum foil is pasted on the inside of the heat insulation cover to make the heat source evenly transferred to the inside of the heat insulation cover. This process requires secondary processing by manpower.

The heat dissipation concept of graphite/nylon composite is introduced into the production process, and the one-time production process reduces the secondary processing of manpower to reduce the production cost.
