Last year, we had the privilege of working on a project at one of the world's most iconic landmarks: Taipei 101.
Our challenge was deceptively simple: create a retractable awning system that protects visitors from the rain when it's needed, but disappears completely when it isn't—preserving the building's clean architectural lines and iconic appearance.
The greatest compliment? Most people never even noticed it was there.
That changed recently when a viral video captured the system automatically deploying during a rain shower. Since then, the project has been featured by several major Taiwanese media outlets, highlighting both the design and the engineering behind it.
For us, this is what great design is all about. Sometimes the most successful solution isn't the one that draws attention—it's the one that quietly does its job so well that it feels like it was always meant to be there.
A huge thank you to the Taiwanese media for sharing the story and recognizing the project.
