IOI 2014

IOI 2014 The International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) is one of the most recognized computer science competitions for high school students in the world.

In order to promote science education, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) had put forward a series of International Science Olympiads for secondary school students since 1959. International Olympiad in Informatics (also known as IOI) is one such contest focusing on Computer Science. Bulgarian Professor Sendov proposed IOI in the 24th convention of UNESCO in O

ctober, 1987. IOI competition has been held annually since 1989, and the participating countries have grown from 13 to more than 80 (see Table 2), making IOI the most visible Computer Science competition for K-12 students. Taiwan has been an active participant to IOI since the sixth IOI in 1994. Over the years, through nationwide selection and training of participants, as well as participation in the competition, Taiwan delegation has not only been recognized internationally but also brings increasing emphasis on computer science education within Taiwan.
