Regintech Introduces Viber Out Support as a Replacement for SkypeOut
Microsoft officially discontinued Skype services in May this year, and many customers have been asking for a reliable alternative to SkypeOut. After extensive testing and evaluation, we found that Viber Out, offered by Rakuten Group’s Viber, is a practical and effective replacement for the former SkypeOut Unlimited World plan.
Several customers have already tested Viber Out and reported that voice quality is acceptable. The Viber Out Unlimited Worldwide plan costs only USD $5.99 per month and even includes calls to Taiwan mobile numbers (with current success rates still improving).
Similar to SkypeOut, Viber Out calls to Taiwan are displayed as international calls. However, when calling numbers with automated attendants, the NCCs telecom fraud warning won't be a problem.
When calling overseas numbers, Viber Out will show the caller ID of the mobile phone used to register the Viber account, which offers better identification compared to SkypeOut's caller ID display.
Our enterprise gateways, SkyGW4C-S and SkyGWO, now support multi-channel Viber Out calling.
Our single-line products, SkyATA and SkyBox S1, also fully support Viber Out.
Customers who purchased these products after September 2024, or those upgrading existing products from Skype-based software, are eligible for a 20% discount on the Viber software upgrade. Please contact your original reseller or reach us for upgrade services. Thank you!
Existing customers can check for and download the new software version from the product's Microsoft Windows system tray icon, as shown in the image. After installation, a user code will be generated. Copy this user code and provide it to us when making the payment. Once the purchase is completed, you will receive an authorization code. Simply paste the authorization code into the software to activate it.
