NAPARIMA COLLEGE MOURNS 16-YEAR-OLD STUDENT WHO SUCCUMBED TO INJURIES.

On June 1, 2024, Form Four student and athlete, Timothy 'Timo' Hamilton was involved in a tragic car accident that resulted in a severe brain injury. He was the front seat passenger of a family car involved in a hit-and-run.

Timothy was warded in a critical condition and in a coma at the hospital for several weeks.

He was eventually released from hospital to recover at his Tarodale home in Ste Madeleine. Last Friday, he died.

In a Facebook post, Naparima College posted:

The College is saddened to announce that our dear student, Timothy Hamilton, has passed away after health challenges following a motor vehicle accident a few months ago.

Timothy, fondly known as Timo, had a burning desire to live that was evident in his recovery process, but, alas, the damage was too great. Timothy would have been in form 5.

His infectious smile and friendly demeanour endeared him to staff and students alike and we are all mourning the untimely extinguishing of this bright light.

He was a true gentleman who was the epitome of the College's motto "A Posse Ad Esse".

His determination to be better, even as he represented his school, athletic club and country, is truly inspirational.

His absence is a great loss for all who encountered him.

We send prayers and condolences to his family and friends during their time of grief.
