Today we celebrate the father of software engineering. His contributions are huge in many foundational areas as structured programming, compilers, concurrency, and algorithmics of course.

But let us remind him for this brilliant, almost philosophical quote that captures the way human thinking copes with fields of extreme complexity as modern software systems :
