Meet 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐝, a veteran NASA / Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) engineer whose career has contributed to some of NASA’s most remarkable missions.

From serving as 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐌𝐀𝐏 and 𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐈𝐒𝐄, to contributing to the 𝐎𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐬, Dr. Abid has built an exceptional career at the intersection of engineering, innovation and space exploration. He is also a recipient of NASA’s 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥, supervises the Mechatronics group at JPL, lectures at the University of Southern California, and is the author of 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬.

It was a great opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, and innovation stakeholders while showcasing our innovation ecosystem.

🇹🇳🇱🇾 Novation City was delighted to host a Libyan delegation of university leaders and entrepreneurship center directors for an immersive visit to Tunisia’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The visit featured presentations on Novation City, meetings with our incubated startups, and a tour of the Technological Resources Center for Mechatronics.

A valuable opportunity to exchange insights, strengthen connections, and explore future collaboration and partnership opportunities between the Tunisian and Libyan innovation ecosystems.
