✔The leaders of five key groups from Thailand’s tourism industry have called on the government to approve plans that would allow any foreigner vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter Thailand without restrictions.
✔While Thailand is open to foreign tourists, any foreigner visiting the country is required to undergo mandatory 14 day quarantine at their own expense.
✔Allowing vaccinated foreigners to visit Thailand without the undergoing quarantine would help to mitigate some of the effects the COVID-19 outbreak has had on the country’s now decimated tourism industry, the group said.
✔Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, was due to present the proposal for Cabinet approval on Tuesday, Siam Rath reported.
✔Mr Pipat added that the Ministry of Public Health would also be required to decide on the matter.
✔The proposal is one of a number of measures put forward by the group, which is made up of operators including the Tourist Police, Thai Hotel Association and the Association of Thai Travel Agents.
✔Some of the other proposals include soft loans and reduction in rates, such as electricity bills, for hotels and tourism businesses.
✔More details were also put forward regarding the so-called ‘golf quarantine’ which would allow tourists to stay at a resort and play golf, rather than being confined to their rooms.

1. Not allowed to use high risk places or buildings in schools, universities and other education buildings in areas for teaching, examination or training that has a lot of participants except for
(1) online teaching
(2) helping prople
(3) government activities for the public benefit but has to be allowed by the provincal governor.
(4) small schools, universities and education buildings with students not exceeding 120 students or Border Patrol Police School

2. No activities that has high risk due having a lot of people such as conferences, catering or food distributions except the ones that are operated by a government agent or be allowed by government agent.

3. Closing of all high risk places such as businesses operating as a pub, bar and karaoke, tattoo shop,spa and massage.

4. Other business can be operating but must have covid-19 measurements
4.1 Restaurants can dine-in or take away.
4.2 No drinking of alcohol in restaurants
4.3 Department stores, supermarkets, convenient stores can operate as normal.
5. Provincal governor can close more businesses depending on situation.

6. Please slow down the journey across provinces, except for emergency cases (that need to show a valid reason)

7. For companies, please do Work From Home or reschedule employees working days to reduce contact with each other.

8. If the situation improves, The ad hoc committee considers to ease the enforcement of preventive measures.
