Senior Software Tester (Web, Mobile & SaaS)
About us
We’re a web agency building high-quality websites, mobile apps, and our own SaaS products. We’re looking for an experienced tester with a strong technical background who can own quality across UI, API, and backend—hands-on with both manual and automated testing.
What you’ll do
- Plan and execute test strategies for websites, apps, and SaaS (feature, regression, smoke, exploratory, usability, accessibility).
- Design and maintain automated tests (UI, API, component, integration) and integrate them into CI/CD.
- Validate cross-browser and cross-device behavior; test responsive layouts and edge cases.
- Define and track quality metrics; triage defects and collaborate closely with developers and PMs.
- Write clear test cases, bug reports, and release sign-off notes.
- Champion QA best practices (shift-left testing, risk-based testing, test data management).
- Contribute to performance, security, and accessibility checks where appropriate.
Tech & Tools you’ll likely use here
- Test automation (UI): Playwright, Cypress, Selenium/WebDriver, Appium (mobile)
- Unit/Component tests (by stack): Jest, Testing Library, Mocha/Chai, Vitest; JUnit/TestNG; pytest; PHPUnit
- API testing: Postman/Newman, REST Assured, Supertest, SoapUI
- Performance: k6, JMeter, Lighthouse
- Accessibility: axe DevTools, WAVE, Lighthouse
- CI/CD & DevOps: GitLab CI / GitHub Actions / Jenkins, Docker, BrowserStack or Sauce Labs
- Diagnostics: Chrome DevTools, Charles/Fiddler, Sentry/Datadog (nice to have)
- Security (basic checks): OWASP ZAP, dependency scanning (Snyk, Dependabot)
What you bring
- 3+ years in software testing/QA for web or mobile products, ideally in an agency or product/SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of web tech (HTTP, REST/GraphQL, cookies/sessions, caching, DOM, responsive design).
- Proven experience building and maintaining automated test suites and integrating them with CI/CD.
- Solid API testing skills and basic SQL; able to read logs and trace issues end-to-end.
- Clear, concise communication and documentation skills in English.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, TDD/BDD, and risk-based testing.
- Bonus: Experience with performance testing, accessibility testing, or GDPR-aware test practices.
