In a nightclub, loud is only part of the requirement.

At Leela Club in Goa, the system needed to deliver high energy while maintaining clarity, controlled low-frequency performance, and consistent coverage across the dancefloor, VIP lounges, and seating areas.

At the core of the system, KSL brings the output and broadband directivity control needed for a high-energy environment—where impact matters, but so does precision.

High energy. High clarity. Controlled coverage.

KSL at the heart of Goa’s nightlife.

At Leela Club in Goa, India, a d&b KSL system delivers the combination of energy, clarity, and control required across the dance floor, VIP lounges, and seating areas.

Built around KSLi8 and KSLi12 arrays, the system brings full-bandwidth directivity into a nightlife environment where consistency matters across the entire space.

A powerful PA doesn’t have to mean uncontrolled sound behind it.

With d&b SL-Series, broadband directivity helps control how sound is distributed across the system—including what happens behind the array. With up to 20 dB attenuation behind the array, rear rejection can help reduce stage noise, improve separation, and limit unwanted energy beyond the audience area. d&b audiotechnik

On Robbie Williams’ Britpop Tour, this became especially relevant at Bath’s Royal Crescent, where residents’ front doors were just 20 metres behind the stage. The GSL/KSL system was selected for its full-bandwidth directivity and rear rejection, helping the production manage sound in such a sensitive location. d&b audiotechnik

Sound control isn’t only about what’s in front.
It’s also about what’s behind.

The array is flown. But the optimization doesn’t stop there.

With ArrayProcessing, the performance of a d&b line array can be further refined across the listening area—shaping level distribution, improving tonal consistency, compensating for air absorption, and creating reduced-level zones where needed.

Mechanical coverage defines where the array can work.
ArrayProcessing adds another layer of control within it.

Same loudspeaker. Different system configuration.

CUT is one of the acoustic adjustment settings available for the d&b KSL System, reducing the low-frequency level of the KSL8/KSL12 when configured for use with actively driven SL-SUB or SL-GSUB cabinets.

It’s a small setting within a much bigger system.

And that’s exactly why every setting has a purpose.

Authorized d&b audiotechnik system are available in Indonesia through Louder Technologies.

What if louder wasn’t the goal?
Because in sound system design, output is only part of the equation.

Where the sound goes matters just as much.

With broadband directivity, d&b extends control across a wider frequency range — helping reduce unwanted reflections, lower stage noise, and improve off-site noise control.

Through the SL-Series, this control reaches further into the low frequencies, where directivity has traditionally been harder to maintain.

Not just more sound.
More controlled sound.

Sometimes better coverage means knowing where the sound should stop.

At Sónar Barcelona, only 75 meters of a 140-meter-wide audience area required sound coverage—while reflective buildings around the site created another challenge.

Using ArrayProcessing, the system was configured to significantly reduce SPL toward the rear of the venue, helping minimize reflections while maintaining the coverage actually needed.

Because good system design isn’t always about going further.
It’s about putting the right level in the right place.

Stadium-scale sound, built around control.

For Robbie Williams’ Britpop Tour, a d&b SL-Series system brings together GSL and KSL arrays, SL-SUBs, Y10P front fills and ArrayProcessing to deliver consistent coverage across arenas and stadiums.

From full-scale venues to the unique setting of Bath’s Royal Crescent, the system was designed with both coverage and directivity control in mind.

What looks like separate parts is actually one connected workflow.

A d&b system begins taking shape before the hardware is even deployed.

From system design and simulation in ArrayCalc, to control and monitoring through R1, amplification, processing and finally loudspeaker reproduction—each stage carries the system forward.

Different tools. Different roles.
One connected d&b system.

From system design to system control, the workflow stays connected.

At Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, the system was designed in ArrayCalc and managed through R1—with one R1 file controlling 35 amplifiers across 1.4 km of street.

What starts as system planning becomes the data behind configuration, control and monitoring in the field.

Design in ArrayCalc.
Control in R1.
One connected d&b workflow.
