ICT Society South Sudan ICT resources and infrastructure are minimal in South Sudan due to the long liberation war that lasted from 1955-2005.

The ICT Society South Sudan (ICT Society) is the professional association for ICT-Professionals & service providers, with mandate to set standards, voice that represents ICT sector, & advocate policies in South Sudan. ICT Society South Sudan was established to facilitate the adoption and use of information communication technology (ICT) as an enabler for socio-economic development of South Sudan f

ollowing her independence on 9 July 2011. Through collaboration with other stakeholders, the Society will advocate for ICT policies that support the development of the ICT sector, creates conditions for development; and develop strategies that increase uptake and usage of ICT by the population of South Sudan. The ICT Society South Sudan members endeavor to work collectively to implement ICT projects that will improve the socio-economic status of the local communities.

We invite proposals for workshops, panel discussions, technical sessions, lightning talks, research presentations, youth-led initiatives, and other interactive sessions aligned with the forum theme and priorities.
