BRAND RATIONALE The brand mark is an extract of custom Icon and minimalist Topography Of the Sierra Leone Map
Using state-of-the-art graphics as an advertising method is a really cool and original idea, and I’d be interested in seeing it pushed further. Makes me wonder what it would be like if our city was Los Angeles or Nevada.
The icon mark is a custom vector depiction of the Map of the Port Loko District
The city had a population of 21,961 in the 2004 census and a current estimate of 44,900. Port Loko lies approximately 36 miles northeast of Freetown. The area in and around Port Loko is a significant bauxite mining and trade centre, The town lies on the main highway linking Freetown to Guinea's capital Conakry. It also lies on the over-land road between Freetown and its primary airport, Lungi International Airport, although most travellers complete this journey via the much shorter ferry or helicopter transit.
