Black Deer Games Unveils Second Biome for Upcoming Tower-Defense Title Hordeguard: Winds of the North


Slovakia-based game studio Black Deer Games today officially reveals the second biome for its upcoming action tower-defense title Hordeguard: Winds of the North. This new environment is set in a rich and atmospheric autumn setting, offering a stark visual and thematic contrast to the previously revealed winter biome.

In addition to the distinctive autumn visuals, players can look forward to encountering entirely new types of enemies, introducing fresh challenges and adding new layers to the gameplay experience.

Hordeguard: Winds of the North is a project currently in development, blending elements of strategy, survival, and action within a harsh Nordic-inspired world. With each new biome, the team aims to deliver unique atmospheres, diverse threats, and expanded gameplay opportunities.

It’s just the two of us – David and Peťo.
Two friends, two minds, two worlds… and one shared dream.
One from Martin, the other from Prešov. United by passion and the belief that even small teams can achieve big things.

🎨 David – fully in charge of the visuals.
From the first concept to final art, animations, effects, and UI –
everything you see is his work.

🧠 Peťo – the technical brain of the game.
Gameplay systems, logic, AI, optimization, bug fixing –
none of it would work without him.

There’s no big studio behind us.
Just two people, one vision, and a whole lot of hard work.
