THE RESULT OF OUR PROJECT WILL BE THE DESIGN OF AN AUTONOMOUS ROBOT ✍️⚙

🔴 The aim of our new project, which is funded by the Ministerstvo obrany Slovenskej republiky, will be to summarize our development activities and the activities of the Akadémia ozbrojených síl generála Milana Rastislava Štefánik.

🔴 The result will be a final report with a proposal for the implementation of a prototype semi-autonomous reconnaissance mobile robotic platform in a military environment. Thanks to its ability to autonomously survey its surroundings it is ultimately intended for exploration of unknown terrain.

🔴The project will also include military objects detection and the interaction of the robot with a human using artificial intelligence algorithms developed by RoboTech Vision company.

ROBOTECH VISION HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO A PROJECT TO SUPPORT NATIONAL DEFENSE 👏🧐

In June 2022, through the support of the Ministerstvo obrany Slovenskej republiky RoboTech Vision had the opportunity to present its autonomous solutions in Debrecen. After achieving the best results among the competitors in the discussions of the armed forces of the V4 countries, the company decided to continue in this direction.

The company, in cooperation with the Akadémia ozbrojených síl generála Milana Rastislava Štefánik, successfully applied for the Research and Development Project to support national defense: Semi-autonomous reconnaissance robotic vehicle. The project is financed by the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic.

REAL RESULTS ARE MORE THAN IMPRESSIVE SIMULATIONS OR DESIGN 🤩🦾

‘It is an honor for our company that the Ministry of Defence chose us and we were able to represent Slovakia abroad. We have had many years of development in the field of robotics, which we have now been able to show, so we very much appreciate this opportunity.

The Ringo robot is a new platform that is not yet complete. It lacks a bonnet and various other details, but we are glad that we found ourselves in a team of experts who focused more on software properties and real results than on design or impressive simulations,’ said Ing. Peter Pásztó, PhD.

The chiefs were also interested in Crawler, our second autonomous robot with artificial intelligence, which detected and recognized objects similar to the device from Rheinmetall. ROBOTECH VISION’S SUCCESS AT V4 ARMED FORCES NEGOTIATIONS 🏆 🥇

‘The Slovak team consisting of engineers and experts from RoboTech Vision, s.r.o. excelled in all competitive tasks, thanks to which the team under the Slovak flag achieved the best times in the international competition in all disciplines. It thus confirmed that companies with high innovation potential are also developing in Slovakia in the defence sector,’ said the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic.

The Innovation Challenge Day was also attended by the Czech team with the Husky robot from the Canadian company Clearpath and the Hungarian team, which presented a solution supplemented by a sensor system and their software. RINGO, THE NEW AUTONOMOUS ROBOTIC PLATFORM, PASSED ALL THE TASKS 🦾💪

RoboTech Vision, with its platform and autonomous navigation system, achieved the best results among the V4 countries in a competition in Hungary. The robot quickly and autonomously passed through a winding path in the interior bounded by boards on the first day. It was also successful on the second day when it first mapped the room using a 2D laser scanner and algorithms while recording the position of obstacles and visual signs indicating radioactivity. Viewers watched the entire process on a live stream. The robot did the same task in more difficult conditions when the fog was let into the room.

ROBOTECH VISION HAD THE BEST RESULTS AMONG THE V4 COUNTRIES 🎉🤩

The Chiefs of Staff of the V4 countries participated in security negotiations and attended the Innovation Challenge Day in Hungary. Experts from the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia presented their robotic autonomous solutions. RoboTech Vision was selected by the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic (Ministerstvo obrany Slovenskej republiky)to present its autonomous solutions and had the best results among the competitors. The company accomplished all the tasks in the shortest time with its latest Ringo interior platform and introduced the Crawler exterior robot.

INTERIOR AUTONOMOUS NAVIGATION NOT JUST AS PREVENTION AGAINST COVID-19 🦠😷

For over two years, the entire world has been operating in a restricted mode, including isolation. How will a robotics company react to such a situation? It will use its assistants to prevent personal contact between workers and each of them will simultaneously have the necessary supply of fluids. The company used the Caster robot for this task, designed mainly for the interior.

The company added an ORC algorithm to it, for this reason the robot knows whom to deliver food to and, in particular, invites everyone to take a bottle. It recognizes workers with great success, even if they have a mask on their faces.

ROBOTECH VISION TESTS AUTONOMOUS INDOOR NAVIGATION 🏠 🗺️ 📍

"We could call this solution a novelty, because so far, our development has largely focused on autonomous outdoor navigation. There we used the AON algorithm when moving on the roads, which mainly works with the help of mapping. In the vineyard, we use the AVN algorithm, whereby the robot only navigates what it sees.

We have now taken the principles from both navigations and are gradually applying them to the interior, which brings more new challenges such as less space for movement, the absence of a GPS signal, but also obstacles that can change position.

However, Caster showed that it handled the environment well. It recognized its colleagues, fulfilled the assigned task and made the day more pleasurable for some of them", claims robotic engineer Ing. Matej Vargovčík.

RoboTech Vision has developed an algorithm with which the robot not only navigates, but also distinguishes objects and delivers food.

TODAY, OUR ROBOT SPOKE TO A COLLEAGUE. 📣 WHAT DID IT TELL HIM? 🤔

"Hi, Matej. I brought you a drink. Please take a bottle and don't forget the drinking regime even during the special regime in the office. I'm glad to see you, I'm going to visit the other colleagues as well!", the autonomous interior robot Caster said to our colleague. You can see what his new task was and how he managed it in our latest video!

“With a mobile robot, it’s important that it aligns exactly to the center of the docking station. Unlike a drone or walking robot, neither the differential nor the Double Ackerman chassis can move in any direction, just as a car cannot move sideways, the three markers serve to ensure that the robot knows the orientation of the station from a distance and is able to turn correctly towards the connector while moving along a relatively short path,” says robotics engineer Ing. Jakub Lenner 🧐
