Last Friday, colleagues from all our offices across Slovenia came together at Orehov gaj / Walnut grove for our annual Business Solutions team building.

No presentations, no meetings and no Teams calls this time. Instead, the afternoon was filled with good food, music, plenty of conversations and a bit of friendly competition. From beach volleyball and table football to co****le and an axe-throwing tournament.

And while some were determined to win, others chose what might be the most important team-building activity of all: simply sitting down, catching up and spending time together. 😊

With teams working from different locations, days like this are a good reminder that sometimes the best way to strengthen collaboration is to step away from our desks and enjoy each other’s company.

At 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, we also understand the importance of user experience. We therefore develop additional features and extensions to the core system, designed to increase productivity, transparency, and efficiency.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭?
Business Central is no longer developed through major upgrades released every few years, as was common with older ERP systems.

Today, Microsoft releases two major versions each year, alongside regular monthly updates in between.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡:
- gradual access to new capabilities
- security and cumulative updates
- a technologically up-to-date platform
- faster access to improvements

Regular updates help reduce the risks associated with major upgrades and enable more predictable ERP system management.
Of course, this does not mean that updates should be implemented without careful consideration. New releases should be reviewed in a sandbox environment in advance, and key business scenarios should be thoroughly tested.

Updates are therefore not merely a technical task, but 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐄𝐑𝐏 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 over the long term.

At 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, we closely monitor all updates and new releases. We thoroughly test them and then implement them in agreement with our customers, with the aim of optimising operations, supporting growth, and strengthening their competitive advantage.
