𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭?
Business Central is no longer developed through major upgrades released every few years, as was common with older ERP systems.

Today, Microsoft releases two major versions each year, alongside regular monthly updates in between.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡:
- gradual access to new capabilities
- security and cumulative updates
- a technologically up-to-date platform
- faster access to improvements

Regular updates help reduce the risks associated with major upgrades and enable more predictable ERP system management.
Of course, this does not mean that updates should be implemented without careful consideration. New releases should be reviewed in a sandbox environment in advance, and key business scenarios should be thoroughly tested.

Updates are therefore not merely a technical task, but 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐄𝐑𝐏 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 over the long term.

At 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, we closely monitor all updates and new releases. We thoroughly test them and then implement them in agreement with our customers, with the aim of optimising operations, supporting growth, and strengthening their competitive advantage.

Business Central has been evolving much faster in recent years than the traditional ERP systems we were familiar with in the past.

Microsoft is increasingly developing it into a solution that helps companies work faster, reduce manual tasks, and gain better access to data.

At BS Academy, we have successfully completed this year’s series of lectures at the Higher Vocational College for Informatics Nova Gorica. We shared practical experience, real-world IT challenges, and knowledge that students will be able to apply on their career paths.

Microsoft has released Business Central 28, and we've already put it through thorough testing.

Our verdict: Version 28.2 is stable and ready for production use.

What's new?
🔹 Noticeably faster page loading and improved performance with large datasets
🔹 A new Quality Management module for manufacturing companies
🔹 More flexible financial reporting and simplified Word layouts
🔹 Attachments can now be stored in SharePoint or Azure, helping keep your SQL database lean
🔹 Continued enhancements to Copilot and AI agents

Državni zbor je 11. maja sprejel 𝐙𝐚𝐤𝐨𝐧 𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐧𝐢𝐡 𝐮𝐤𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐡 𝐳𝐚 𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐯𝐨𝐣 𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐣𝐞 (𝐙𝐈𝐔𝐑𝐒), ki predvideva spremembe na področju obdavčitve, socialnih prispevkov, DDV-ja, pokojnin in delovnih razmerij.

Zakon se še ne izvaja, ker še ni objavljen v Uradnem listu. V tem trenutku se določbe zakona lahko še spremenijo.

ZIURS vladi omogoča, da za omejeno obdobje (do 9 mesecev) uvede 𝟗,𝟓-𝐨𝐝𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐧𝐢 𝐃𝐃𝐕 za električno energijo, zemeljski plin, daljinsko ogrevanje in les za kurjavo.

Ker zakon še ni začel veljati, bomo nadaljnji razvoj in morebitne spremembe spremljali ter vas pravočasno obveščali. 📨
