🚀 How HPC is transforming industrial product visualization – the Gostol case

BAKERY SOLUTIONS is a global provider of integrated industrial solutions for medium-sized and large industrial bakeries, including equipment for dough mixing, forming, proofing, baking, and cooling.

🤝The result of collaboration with EuroCC SLING is an interactive table, which represents a dynamic platform for presenting Gostol’s product portfolio in an engaging, intuitive, and informative way. Through interactive 3D models, customers can explore not only detailed technical specifications, but also real-time data on economic efficiency.

💡With the use of HPC, the following objectives were achieved:

• Real-time CFD simulations, enabling visualization of airflow and steam distribution in machines, providing deeper insights into thermal efficiency and process optimization.

• Interactive exploration of 3D models, allowing users to rotate, zoom, and disassemble individual components for a better understanding of design and operation.

• Access to real-time sensor data and performance analytics, including live measurements from various control systems.

This week, we are proud to be part of MIPRO 2026 conference, held in Opatija, Croatia (25–29 May) — one of the region’s leading conferences on information and communication technologies, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing 💻.

This three-day hands-on workshop will guide you through running Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations with OpenFOAM on a high-performance computing (HPC) cluster.

🔹 Mesh generation with GMSH, BlockMesh & SnappyHexMesh
🔹 Running transient, multiphase & multi-region simulations

A new tranche of Business Experiments has officially kicked off, and we are proud to see that two of the funded sub-projects come from !

📢 21 new Business Experiments officially launched!

We are excited to announce the successful completion of the second FFplus Open Call for Business Experiments, resulting in the selection of 21 innovative sub-projects for funding across Europe.

Summary:
🔹 309 eligible proposals received from 🌍 34 EU countries
🏆 21 funded sub-projects from 🌍 14 EU countries
💶 a total funding budget of €3.96 million

Projects started on May 1st, 2026 and will run for 15 months.

🌍The selected experiments bring together partners from Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and Türkiye.

The call attracted particularly strong interest from:
🏥 Healthcare & Life Sciences (12% of proposals)
🏭 Manufacturing & Industrial Process Optimisation (8% of proposals).

The selected projects showcase how European companies are increasingly combining:
✔️ Artificial Intelligence
✔️ HPC-powered simulation
✔️ CFD & FEM methodologies
✔️ Digital Twins
✔️ Data-driven innovation

Together, these technologies are helping businesses accelerate innovation, improve efficiency, and strengthen competitiveness across sectors.

🗣️MSP-ji, ki so že sodelovali v Business Experiments, bodo v sklopu webinarjev predstavili dragocene vpoglede in izkušnje, pridobljene z uporabo HPC pri reševanju konkretnih poslovnih izzivov.
