Paying homage to the Chinese Zodiac Tiger for the upcoming Lunar New Year, the studio has made the conventional red packet look super cool-lectible; with creative and kooky reimaginations of the โHadoukenโ power fireball from the Nintendo game โStreet Fightersโ ๐ฎand the iconic huat fruit, ong lai ๐ (pineapple)!
Each pack comes with 3 unique red packets:
1. HUATdouken โ the ่ดข็ฅ่ (cai shen ye tiger) is busy shooting fireballs of ingots all-year-round.
2. Ong Lai Cat โ A kooky version of the giant cat dressed in the iconic huat fruit ong lai suit (ong lai - a Chinese dialect for pineapple).
3. Lion Dance โ a word play on a common New Year auspicious greeting ไบ่ค่จ้ (wu fu ling men) which translates to โ5 blessings arriving at your doorโ, where the ไบ (five) has been replaced by ่ (tiger). The lettuce in the lionโs mouth represents โ้่โ (cai cai - picking vegetableswhich sounds like โ้่ดขโ (picking wealth).
This year's concept seeks to bring to life a design that elicits oneโs senses of sight and touch. Each tiger is uniquely illustrated from scratch and custom-made into an embroidery patch which is then pasted onto the red packets by hand.
