Hipster Inc is honored to have been the tech provider for a pilot initiative organized by one of Singapore’s Government Agencies. Under this initiative, Hipster Inc provided the software for mobile kiosks that allows jobseekers to initiate video call meetings with a Career Ambassador.

The program was created during COVID-19 and was only supposed to run for 6 months. However, due to the overwhelming receptivity and success, we are currently in our 3rd operational year.

As August closes, we celebrate Hipster turning 7! 🎉🎂

We take a look back into Hipster's origin story and how we managed to be who we are today. 7 years ago, we could not fathom that an idea that was formed over dinner in a hawker centre would take all of us this far. There is still a long road ahead of us, but this is a message to all to start whatever it is you have been planning and just do it. In our ever-changing VUCA world, the price of inaction is far greater than the cost of making a mistake. Take it from us, we have made a lot of mistakes over the years, but we come back every time wiser and sharper.

So, is it some day or Day 1?

Hope everyone had a good rest yesterday as we celebrated Singapore's 58th birthday! While Singapore is still a considerably young city-state, here is some Singapore history trivia to test your colleagues on 👀

1. Did you know our Singapore flag nearly had only 3 stars instead of 5?
2. Singapore has changed her time zone (Singapore Standard Time) 6 times since 1933!
3. We also nearly had a Disneyland built between Yio Chu Kang MRT and Khatib MRT station (drats!)

Thanks to our experienced team of engineers, we helped Common Suits become a digitally enabled, modern fashion brand, which has allowed them to reach more customers while better catering to their needs.

The Common Suits website went live on the 24th of May, 2023. We transformed it from a static Wix website to one that is/has a…

1. Mobile-optimized with a customization and personalization engine for suits, shirts, jackets, and pants
2. Visualization experience using 2D modeling for photorealistic clothing rendering
3. Complete fashion E-commerce and online payment options
4. Global shipping implementation - different shipping charges for customers depending on location
5. Appointment booking system with 1-to-1 reply capabilities
6. Complete back-office system to track and manage orders, customers, appointments, measurements, invoices, the operation of tailoring, and customers engagement
7. Integration with CRM for better marketing automation

Besides a better customer experience, analytics has shown that the website had improved their online branding, reachability, marketability, and scalability of Common Suits from Singapore to the rest of the world.

Some other notable achievements include:
1. Being featured in Luxuo Media (Luxury magazine by Heart Media)
2. Receiving over 50 in-store appointments and over 3,500 visitors just 2 weeks from launch
